The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services administers the
Immigrant Investor Program, also known as “EB-5,” created by Congress to stimulate
the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors.
Under a pilot immigration program first enacted in 1992 and regularly pre-authorized
since, certain EB-5 visas also are set aside for investors in Regional Centers
designated by USCIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth.

An investment of 2 Million € (+VAT) in one or more residential properties, including a primary residence worth minimum 500,000 €, for a minimum of 5 years. The investment may be maintained minimum 5 years, excluding the primary residence that must be maintained for life.

In addition, the investor must make a non-refundable donation of 150,000 € to the government (to be shared by the Foundation for Research and Development and the Cyprus Land Development Corporation).
